Sakura Syndrome, is Greece’s 1st and leading, contemporary Japanese Music Event Organizer, with steadily successful activities since 2005. The aim of the team, which was founded by Somnium in Tenebris and Mona Risa, was to make the Greek audience acquainted with Japanese music and culture. This subsequently led to the "birth" of Japan & Anime Party in Thessaloniki, which was the first ever Greek event, exclusively dedicated to the contemporary music scene of Japan, anime and cosplay and still remains one of the few regular music events worldwide . The team’s activities, kick-started a completely new music scene and culture movement, since they officially introduced terms like “Visual Kei”, “J-rock”, “J-pop”, “Cosplay”, to the wide audience, while giving a major boost to the existing Greek Anime community. The crucial moment which brought disparate people together and made them realize that a new community had just been born, was the performance of the pioneer band, BLOOD, in October 2006, Athens. The rest is history. The team’s activities spawned, to later be adopted by several new teams, with mutual aims and targets. Sakura Syndrome’s activities from 2005 until today, include numerous successful events in Thessaloniki and Athens, collaborations with acclaimed Japanese artists, well-known Record Labels, the first Greek, J-music merchandise distribution, frequent endorsements with Visual Kei artists, through the by now popular “Secret Band Presentation” feature , Exclusive Official Release Parties, Record Label Sponsored Events etc From 2006 until today, Somnium in Tenebris, General Manager of Sakura Syndrome, Law School Graduate, Assistant Manager of Hotel Enterprises and Professional Translator, continues to work as an Agent for various, Japanese artists, is featured in the, available worldwide, book “Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants” by Japanese pop culture author, Carmen Yuen and is constantly working on future projects. Stay infected! _____________________________________________________________ Η Sakura Syndrome είναι η πρώτη ελληνική ομάδα διοργάνωσης event σύγχρονης ιαπωνικής μουσικής, με σταθερά επιτυχημένη πορεία από το 2005. Στόχος της ομάδας, η οποία δημιουργήθηκε από τις Somnium in Tenebris και Mona Risa, ήταν η διάδοση της μοντέρνας ιαπωνικής μουσικής και κουλτούρας στο ελληνικό κοινό. Έτσι γεννήθηκε και το "Japan & Anime Party" στη Θεσσαλονίκη, το πρώτο ελληνικό event αποκλειστικά αφιερωμένο στη σύγχρονη μουσική σκηνή της Ιαπωνίας, στα anime και το cosplay και το οποίο αποτελεί ένα από τα λίγα τακτικά event του είδους παγκοσμίως. Οι δραστηριότητες της ομάδας, σήμαναν την αρχή της δημιουργία μιας νέας μουσικής σκηνής και πολιτιστικής κίνησης, ενώ για πρώτη φορά εισήγαγαν όρους όπως “Visual Kei”, “J-rock”, “J-pop”, “Cosplay” στο ευρύ κοινό, δίνοντας συγχρόνως μια μείζονα ώθηση στην ήδη υπάρχουσα Anime κοινότητα. Η αποφασιστική τομή, που έφερε σε επαφή ετερόκλητους ανθρώπους και την ίδια στιγμή τη συνειδητοποίηση πως μια νέα κοινότητα είχε ήδη γεννηθεί, έγινε με την συναυλία του πρωτοπόρου συγκροτήματος BLOOD, στην Αθήνα τον Οκτώβρη του 2006. Η συνέχεια είναι γνωστή. Οι διοργανώσεις της ομάδας εντάθηκαν και αργότερα υιοθετήθηκαν από νέες ομάδες με κοινούς στόχους. Οι δραστηριότητες της Sakura Syndrome, από το 2005 έως και σήμερα, περιλαμβάνουν, τη διοργάνωση πολλών επιτυχημένων event στη Θεσσαλονίκη και την Αθήνα, επαγγελματικές συνεργασίες με διακεκριμένα ιαπωνικά συγκροτήματα ,γνωστές δισκογραφικές εταιρίες, το πρώτο distribution με J-music merchandise, συχνές συνεργασίες με Ιάπωνες καλλιτέχνες, μέσω του δημοφιλούς “Secret Band Presentation”, αποκλειστικά, επίσημα Release Parties, Sponsored Events δισκογραφικών εταιριών κ.α. Από το 2006 έως σήμερα, η Somnium in Tenebris, General Manager της Sakura Syndrome, απόφοιτος της Νομικής Σχολής, Assistant Manager Ξενοδοχειακών Επιχειρήσεων και Μεταφράστρια, εργάζεται ως Agent για διάφορους Ιαπωνες καλλιτέχνες, εμφανίζεται στο παγκοσμίου κυκλοφορίας βιβλίο με τίτλο “Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants”, της συγγραφέως Carmen Yuen, ενώ συνεχίζει να δουλεύει πάνω σε νέα project.
